This is the first industry training program developed to specifically address skills for writing clinical audit reports. This program is focused on Technical Writing Skills for Clinical Audit Reports and our Summation Technique®. Our primary focus is how to report audit results of clinical investigator audits. This program will help you with various types of audit reports including vendor audits. Effective writing skills are paramount for ensuring audit results are communicated properly for decisions and actions to be made and for keeping your organization informed.

Module 1: The Purpose, Style and Prose of Audit Reporting
1. Global look at the purpose of audit report writing.
2. Demonstrate how we can effectively communicate what we observe during our audits.
3. Good writing is a learned skill through experience and training.
4. Promote that actions are taken based on our written word.
5. Provide a framework for implementing concise, precise and effective audit reports
6. Determine and implement proper methods for audit report writing:
...a. Increase efficiency
...b. Increase accuracy
...c. Increase overall readability
...d. Increase effectiveness
...e. Ensure your audience understands your level of concern


Module 2: Establishing a Framework for Technical Clinical Audit Reports
This module provides skills for writing audit reports with a focus on clinical investigator audits. Whether you are completing clinical investigator or vendor audits, the skills discussed here should help you understand requirements for regulatory writing. This module should help you expertly express your individual observations for effective communication of your audit results.

1. Develop a framework for writing technical audit reports
2. Examine the methodology of audit report writing skills using Summation Technique®
3. Examine different reporting examples covered under three global deficiencies types
4. Discuss proper methods for forming observations
5. Learn steps for presenting accurate and understandable observations


Module 3: Methods for Technical Clinical Audit Reports
This module provides many tools, techniques and tips for developing proper methods for writing observations. This module will focus on tools to help with developing your observations for proper communication of your audit results.


Module 4: Examining Case Studies
Examine several case studies to illustrate and summarize the major points from Modules 1-3. The selected case examples will be used to explore the Summation Technique®.

1. Present actual case examples to reinforce audit report writing methods from previous modules.
2. Effectively demonstrate the Summation Technique®.
3. Examine how to write proper observations for effective communication.
4. Critique written examples from audits to improve overall communications.




You need to complete all the lessons in order to receive a completion certificate.

This course must be completed within 90 days of enrollment, unless purchased as part of a complete Training Program such as NT20 or NT50.
